Choral Scholarships
We are excited to announce the opening of a new Choral Scholarship programme, starting in
September 2026. Applications are now open for experienced and confident young choral or solo singers, who are keen to develop their musical abilities and expand their knowledge of repertoire and technique, to enhance and support the choir.
The programme will run from September 2026 to July 2027, and is aimed at two scholars, one tenor and one bass/baritone.
Further details, including how to apply may be found in this PDF document.
We are a friendly non-audition choir, performing regular concerts with professional soloists, and often with orchestral accompaniment. We rehearse at 7.45pm on Tuesday evenings in the Upper Hall, at the URC Church, at Shaw's Corner, RH1 6AU, mid-way between Reigate and Redhill.
UK Tour - Saturday 2nd May to Monday 4th May. We will be based in Lincoln, and singing on Sunday 3rd at St Wulfram's Parish Church, Grantham (Choral Eucharist at 11am, and a recital including the Fauré Requiem and Rutter Feel the Spirit at 3pm), and a recital on Monday 4th in Peterborough Cathedral at 2pm.
Although we have several other events coming up before then, we are already looking forward to our big joint concert with Woking Choral Society on Saturday 28 November, in G Live, Guildford - Elgar: The Dream of Gerontius, conduced by our MD, Cole Bendall
We will be joined by the Chantry Singers, Octavian Singers, Judy Louie Brown (mezzo soprano), Dominic Bevan (tenor), Ross Cumming (baritone), and accompanied by the London Mozart Players
