Kyrie Eleison. Christe Eleison. Kyrie Eleison.
Lord have mercy. Christ have mercy. Lord have mercy.
The Gloria is often set independently of the rest of the Mass (e.g. by Vivaldi and Poulenc), and so we have created a separate web page with a translation of the Gloria.
Credo in unum Deum. Patrem omnipotentem, factorem coeli et terrae, visibilium omnium et invisibilium
I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things seen and unseen
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds. God of God, Light of Light, True God of True God.
Begotten not made, of one being with the Father by whom all things were made: who for us men and for out salvatation came down from heaven.
And was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary and was made man.
He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, where he sits at the right hand of the Father. He shall come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. His kingdom shall have no end.
And in the Holy Gost, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son
Who with the Father and Son is worshipped and glorified; who has spoken through the prophets.
Et unam sanctam catholicam et apostolicam ecclesiam
And in one holy, catholic and apostolic church.
Confiteor unum baptisma in remissionem peccatorum, et expecto resurrectionem mortuorum et vitam venturi saeculi. Amen.
I acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins, and I look for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.
Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus, Dominus Deus Sabaoth. Pleni sunt caeli et terra gloria tua. Hosanna in excelsis
Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of Sabaoth. Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Benedictus qui venit in nomime Domini. Hosanna in excelsis
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
Agnus Dei qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis. Agnus Dei qui tollis peccata mundi, dona nobis pacem.
O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, have mercy on us. O Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, grant us peace.
